Pricing and Cancellation Policy

This Pricing and Cancellation Policy describes the fee structure and subscription cancellation and refund practices for "English Thinking Gym" (the "Service").


1. Pricing

  1. The Service is provided as a monthly subscription.
  2. Specific pricing (including taxes and currency) is as displayed on the sign-up page (Stripe Checkout) and official site.
  3. Whether displayed prices include tax (VAT, GST, etc.) depends on what is shown on the sign-up page or invoice. Where tax applies by law, it may be shown separately on invoices.
  4. Prices may change in the future due to exchange rates or cost changes. We will notify you in advance via the Service or email.

2. Free Trial and Automatic Renewal

  1. We may offer a free trial period for new users.
  2. Trial period and conditions are as displayed on the sign-up page.
  3. After the trial ends, your subscription automatically converts to a paid plan and you will be charged unless you cancel during the trial.
  4. By subscribing, you agree that your subscription will automatically renew each billing cycle unless you cancel.

3. Billing and Payment Methods

  1. Subscription fees are billed and collected through Stripe.
  2. Billing cycles (e.g., monthly, on a specific date) are as shown at sign-up.
  3. Receipts and payment details are available from Stripe emails or the Stripe Customer Portal.

4. Cancelling Your Subscription

  1. You can cancel your subscription at any time via the settings page, which links to the Stripe Customer Portal.
  2. After cancelling, you can typically continue using the Service until the end of the current billing period (unless you choose immediate cancellation).
  3. To avoid the next charge, complete cancellation before the day before your next billing date.

5. Refund Policy

  1. Due to the nature of the Service, we generally do not refund fees for billing periods that have already started.
  2. We may, at our discretion, issue partial or full refunds in exceptional cases such as:
    • Extended service unavailability due to system failures
    • Clear billing errors (e.g., duplicate charges)
  3. Refund eligibility and method are determined on a case-by-case basis in consultation with the user.

6. Plan Changes

  1. If we offer multiple plans (e.g., monthly, annual, premium), you can change plans via the Stripe Customer Portal.
  2. When plan changes take effect (immediately or from the next billing date) depends on Stripe and what is shown on the sign-up page.

7. Account Deletion and Subscription

  1. If you use the account deletion feature in the Service, we will cancel your Stripe subscription and remove local billing data.
  2. Due to possible technical delays, please also verify the status in the Stripe Customer Portal.
  3. If you suspect a billing discrepancy, please contact us promptly.

8. Policy Changes

  1. We may update this policy as needed due to pricing or payment method changes.
  2. We will notify you of significant changes in advance via the Service or email.
